A successful finale in Budapest: VERA at TRA2026
Looking back at a very productive week, we can now present the VERA project in TRA2026 by the numbers: Over 150 visitors stopped by to meet our experts. More than 200 flyers or technical material were distributed to the audience. And much more material, including posters, a 2-pager, presentations and videos to communicate the project achievements.
Looking beyond the numbers, it was the quality of the conversations that truly mattered. We were privileged to engage with a full spectrum of stakeholders, including: industry leaders and technology suppliers looking for market-ready solutions, policy makers and national authorities for discussing the integration of retrofit data into EU frameworks, fleet operators or managers that seek practical ways to improve up their existing assets, and finally end-users and researchers that were eager to explore the synergy between retrofitting and the circular economy.
The solutions presented by VERA were highly praised by visitors and stakeholders alike, resulting in multiple invitations for the consortium to present the project's outcomes at upcoming conferences, exhibitions and other events.
The VERA final event proved that retrofitting is no longer just a research concept, but it is a technically effective, cost-efficient reality ready to improve urban air quality today.
As we conclude this chapter, we look forward to future endeavours and new collaborations. More importantly, we are excited to see the VERA ideas take root in the European mobility ecosystem that will lead to extending vehicle life, reducing harmful, NOₓ, PM and NH₃ emissions, and ensuring the transition to zero-emission transport, without negatively impacting fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and noise.
A huge thank you to everyone!
